I am Tansy, the mind and heart of Herb & Tonic.
As a medical anomaly, among many other disorders, I suffer from Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, a rare neurological condition with all the symptoms of a large brain tumor. Pharmaceuticals caused more harm than good. Depression – check. Feeling alone – yup! Mourning my mental degredation – absofrickenlutely. But I had to do something to get the pain under control.
At the beginning of the Delta 8 craze, I tried Cannabis for the first time. It sucked. Eighty dollars for gummies that weren’t even infused?! I almost gave up. Then I researched and tried again. “Mind blowing” is an understatement! Head pain was dulled, I gained energy, I could focus, and I was HAPPY.
“Cannabis changed my life” is not just some slogan. Being new to the Cannabis life, I had a million questions. I quickly learned that answers were not easy to find. Within three months, I opened the doors to Herb & Tonic. I created the Apothecary as a place where you could come and, as someone new to the lifestyle or even a ride or die, we will be there for you! Knowledgeable and empathetic, who better to understand your pain than those affected most?!
I came to the Apothecary Halloween of 2022. I was just looking to Adult Trick or Treat, but found so much more. At the time, I was on a feeding tube and in a wheelchair.
I worked with Tansy closely to create Breakfast at Tiffany’s and was eventually able to be mouth fed again. As I had surgeries to walk again, Tansy introduced Pain Killer Mary Jane. These two strains have given me a new lease on life.
The community that comes with the store is like a lifeline. I am honored to be a part of this natural movement, and look forward to helping others.
